About Our Library
Philosophy
The keystone to a quality education in each school is a strong central library media center. The role of the library media center will be to provide the resources to support the educational plan of the school. The library media specialist will assist students in the acquisition of information and knowledge. The library media specialist will collaborate with teachers to instill in students the joy of reading and integrate the library media curriculum with classroom experiences and individual interests. Students will learn how information in its various formats can be retrieved for use in order that they enjoy lifelong learning. |

Our Library Media Specialist

Our library media specialist, Ms. Parker, has been a school library media specialist for over 10 years. She is a HUGE fan of mystery novels and adventure books. She and her family live in Bennington and have three adorable poodles.
During good weather, you might see her and her family riding their vintage Schwinn bicycles around town or to the Tastee Freez. And if you're lucky you just might catch the whole family riding their vintage Schwinn tandems. They are probably out to get ice cream.
Ms. Parker has recently completed her Master's in Teaching with Technology through Marlboro College Graduate and Professional Studies. Her areas of special interest are instructional design and educational gaming. If you happen to be playing Minecraft or enjoying Second Life keep an eye out for her gamer tag PansyPedals.

Where in the world...
Our library media specialist occasionally leaves the library media center to attend conferences. Here is a video of her presenting at Dynamic Landscapes, the spring educational technology and library conference, and photos from a session at ISTE.
